Congratulations to all finishers of the 2009 Sawtooth Relay.

Awards are available for pick up at Bandanna Running and Walking, 504 W. Main St., Boise. Out of town awards will be mailed in early July. Thanks for your patience.

The 19th annual Sawtooth Relay will be held on Saturday, June 12, 2010.

We welcome returning and new teams to the 2009 Sawtooth Relay. If you are new to the Sawtooth Relay, we hope it will become a favorite on your event calendar.Our finisher and volunteer shirt will be a short-sleeved embroidered t-shirt.

The daylight course and start times provide teams with a view of the Sawtooth Mountains at dawn. The Stanley to Ketchum course will also provide spectacular views of the White Cloud Mountains to the east as participants wind their way south along the Salmon River. Don't miss the meadows of multi-colored wild flowers on each side of the highway along the Salmon River valley floor. Half way through the 62-mile course, participants will crest Galena Summit and view the Big Wood River drainage with vistas of the Pioneer and Boulder Mountain ranges. Team entry fee is $330. Entries must be postmarked by Wednesday, May 13. Solo ultra-marathoners entry fee is $75.

Late team entry is $390 per team. Late team entries must be postmarked by Saturday, May 23. No team entries are accepted after May 23.

If you are looking for a team or a team mate, go to our message board. Team additions and substitutions to existing teams must be postmarked by Wednesday, May 13 to avoid a $10 per person late fee. The last day to mail additions or substitutions is Friday, June 5. After June 5 bring all additions and substitutions to the relay start in Stanley.

T-shirt sizes are not guaranteed for entries received after May 23.

Teams can travel to Stanley the night before the relay, camp out under the starlit skies with a glowing campfire nearby, swap stories, and bond. If you like modern conveniences stay in the Mountain Village Lodge (1-800-843-5475) or Redfish Lake Lodge (208-644-9096) in Stanley or AmericInn (208-788-7950) in Hailey, or the Clarion Inn in Ketchum (1-800-262-4833). AmericInn is offering a $99.90/room special for Sawtooth Relay participants.

Enjoy the post-relay party with great food, drinks and while listening to the music of Sonic Skillet. We will be serving Clear Springs Food trout fillets, Falls Brand polish sausages, Simplot potatoes, Albertsons cole slaw, strawberry short cake, Coca Cola soft drinks and Bridgeport Brewing beer. Tickets for food and drink items will be provided to each participant and volunteer at the completion of the relay.
